Palindrome
This is an original painting that I started in 2021. At that time, 2021 was just 2020 but with “bangs” because we were in the middle of it all, were used the masks and other regulations but we still didn’t know what to expect. It was a crazy time for a lot of people but this was a time for me to dive into my creativity. At the time I began this painting, I didn’t have the skill set to create the details it has now, so it took me 2 years to finish it but I’m really happy I took my time because I learned so much about myself and grew into the newest artistic version of myself. Fun fact, I was at an art show at Crowbar, located in Ybor, when someone took a liking to Palindrome while I was still painting it. They told me that my painting reminded them of the word “Palindrome”. Palindrome simply means a word, phrase, or sequence that reads the same backward as forward i.e. Mom, madam etc but for me it meant a direct reflection of another perspective within oneness of self. This is the story behind Palindrome and how this beautiful piece of my heart living outside my body got its name
